Aarian Health was engaged by a medical device manufacturer to develop a patient support program. The company aimed to provide training to patients on the proper use of the medical device at the pharmacy. The client sought a solution that would effectively communicate key aspects of correctly handling the device to every patient.
An important challenge was the training of the pharmacy staff to deliver training messages in a consistent manner. Training programs are often time-consuming, which is a challenge for busy pharmacy stores. Once trained, many staff members still find it challenging to use that information and deliver appropriate messages when dealing with customers in-store
The Aarian Health team built a campaign workflow, mirroring the pharmacy's operational process. Initially, it facilitated the identification of the right customer who would benefit from the program. Subsequently, the 5-step process could be executed on the computer/tablet, guiding the pharmacy staff on key messaging when in front of the customer. All completed in less than 5 minutes.
Pharmacy staff report feeling much more confident in dealing with these customers and addressing questions about this medical device. Customers receive the support they need to use the medical device safely and effectively.
